Tom and the Ghost

Hello I'm Seongmin Jeong. This is my last writing. There was a boy named Tom. Poor boy, he lived with his grandparents because his parents passed away. One day he went to a mountain and watched a strange thing. It was glowing in front of the huge tree that was 200 years old. Suddenly, a ghost came out and asked, "Do you have chocolate?" "No," Tom said. Then the ghost took Tom to the cave. Inside the cave, it was very dark. The ghost said, "I want to eat chocolate. Can you buy me some chocolates?" Actually, Tom's grandparents were very poor.

Ode

Dear Sky,

You always let the birds fly around you. Even if they are big or small, you don't matter and let them fly around you. You are the birds' friend and the playground. Birds need to fly. You let them fly around you. You don't matter why they are flying. You just let them fly. You call them to come around you and play. You like them. Also, the birds like you.


You don't matter if it is a non-living thing. You let the airplanes and rockets fly around you. We know that airplanes and rockets emit smoke to you. I think you know that also. I know that you are just not saying about it. It would feel bad if someone emits smoke on you. You are just keeping patient with that. You are a very good place and warm-hearted. I understand your thoughts.


You are friend to eveythings. You let those to fly, play, and emit smoke. You are just being quiet and let those which they want to do. I think you are the best friend to everything in the world. I think you are the best place.

Reflective Essay on "Spring"

Hello everyone, my name is Seongmin Jeong and you can call me Harry. Today, this writing is about a video called "Spring." This video starts with a kid, The kid ties a string with a rock to a fish, a frog, and a snake. The monk sees that and when he went to bed, he ties a string with a rock to the kid. The kid says to put it away so the monk says first put away the animals from the string, so he went and saw 2 of the 3 animals died. I learned a very big lesson from this video. This video was not long, but it has a very big lesson. Can you find the lesson? I will tell you what I learned from the video.   

I will tell you my story. Our apartment's rule is we need to park the car facing to the grass. My mom told me why we needed to park like this. The reason was because the grass will die because of the gas which is coming out in the back of the car. I thought that grass would not die because of the gas. I thought it was very annoying but later, I learned that they will die because of the gas. If one car does like that, it will not affect a lot, but all the car does everyday, it will be harmful to the grass.

Think about changing opposite. You have once tried to catch the dragonfly and rip their wings. I have done it also. Think opposite. Do you think it will be happy if your legs and arms broken by a giant? I would not be happy also! The animals are the same. The only thing is they couldn't speak. Even if it is an animal they can't speak, they will feel very angry and hurt.

After watching this video, I learned that we should not harm animals. Before, when I went to my grandfather's house, I caught dragonflies and put them into coffee. I am very sorry for them. Now on, I will never harm animals. They are hurt, but they can't speak. Do you think animals will be happy if you rip their wings or make them tired? I think they will rather be sad than happy. I will care for animals from now on. I'm very sorry to animals which I hurt them. Let's treat animals as human. They are living things.

Is it a good way to capture Joseph Kony by Making Him Famous?


My name is Seongmin Jeong. Now, I will write about Joseph Kony. Do you know Joseph Kony? Many people don't know about Joseph Kony. He is a crimnal who kidnapped kids and turn them into soldiers. He give arms to kids. He lets kids to kill even their parents. How many kids do you think he kidnapped? 1000 kids? 2000 kids? No, he kidnapped about 30,000 kids. He is the worst criminal n the world. He was born in Uganda in 1961, November 18th. He is in LRA, Lord's Resistance Army. Then, do you know Kony 2012? It is a video made for the purpose of letting people to know about Joseph Kony. If he became famous, they think it's easy to capture him. Jason Russell made this video. Do you think it is a good way to capture Joseph Kony? I think it is a bad way to do this to capture him. This doesn't mean he is a bad person. I'll tell you why it is not a good way to make him famous.


First, it costs too much to paste all posts. To make him famous, people paste posts. People paste a lot of posts on the wall. That takes huge amount of money. If we didn't catch him, it is just waste of money. We can just tell not by pasting the posts, or we could paste a little not to waste money. I think pasting the post is not a good way.


Second, does making him famous help catching him? Even Josh Russell made video, does everybody know about Joseph Kony? I think making him famous will not help us catch him. Even Kony 2012 was made, he is still not famous. That means that everybody are not interested in Joseph Kony and we need to think another way to catch Joseph Kony. I hope Joseph Kony will get caught, but I think there is another way to catch Joseph Kony.


These are my two reasons why I think making him famous is not a good way to catch him. I know that he is a bad person. He needs to be caught, but I think making him famous will not help catching him. I think catching him is a very important job to do. I think people need to get interested in catching him and just knowing Joseph Kony is not important. Even if he is not famous, it is hard to catch, but even if he is famous, it would be just the same. This was my essay. What do you think? Do you think it is a good thing to make him famous?
